The End Of A Story

So we've come to the end of the blog, so please forgive my super indulgent final captions. I'll be getting around to replying to comments before I leave.

So these caps do allude to why I'm leaving in a kind of meta way. I've been loving captions since Robo's World was an active site, and while captions have been a part of my life for a while, it didn't dawn on me how it was affecting me in other ways, and I realize that it's time for me to leave this behind for my own good.

I had hoped to keep building the swap world I've worked on for the last few years, and I really tried to do different stories that were more than the typical captions that tend to exist (even though those are the kind of tales I love to read). I tried not to always have people stuck, but to have swapping (and re-swapping) to be a part of the lives of these characters.

It was a great exercise in writing for me too, keeping the exact same space to write a full story. It definitely taught me what lines to leave in, and which lines I could leave out or re-phrase. I'll be doing my best NOT to check on all my favourite sources of body swap stories, but I hope that the quality of stories continues to improve out there.

If you're thinking about starting captions, I'd recommend that you focus on characters. We all enjoy a man turned woman playing with his boobs and pussy for the first time. That's a given. The thing that will make your story stand out is the unique interactions you write. Not every brother/sister swap will occur the same way. What makes THIS sibling duo different when they swap from another?

Thanks to everyone who's followed the blog, commented, and/or added me to their blog rolls. I've been a big fan of SwitchHitter and M Wills for a long time, (as well as Donnie's and TGBackburner's) and drawn inspiration from all of them. All the captions on my blog roll have produced stories I've loved, and I hope keep producing amazing stuff.

Your Year (And an announcement)

Sadly this caption comes with a sadder announcement. I've made the decision to finish up captioning. I've got enough captions left that it'll see the blog through to the end of January, but that will be it.

It's been a difficult decision to make, but I've been attracted to this fetish for a long time, and the level at which I engage with it, is starting to have an effect on my life outside of captions. I regret not starting the blog earlier. I regret saving so many models waiting for the "perfect" story idea, because damn, I could caption Angela White and Britney Amber all damn day.

I'm not going to take the blog or any of the captions down - I know when my favourite blogs have shut down, I used to wish they were still there as a reference (lord knows I'd love to find all the old TGBackburner body swap captions again), but I won't be manning it anymore, so if it goes down, I won't be around to put it back up. I've written my final captions already, so sadly there won't be chances for me to do any more requests or follow ups.

This isn't the end yet, but I figure I should say thanks now to everyone who's been reading my captions over the last few years. I know I can be standoff-ish with keeping this and my non-swap-life separate, but I really do appreciate everyone who's stopped by to read my captions, and I hope you enjoy this final month ahead.
