Great series, but a less convoluted solution would have been to give Fred his body back and have the women swap. Courtney wouldn't have to have the babybaby, and both girls could continue working on each other's PHD.
True true. When I started writing the series - Fred was actually the lead but it ended up focusing on the two women. I kind of wanted Fred to get on a new path too.
I also think that the new Fred would zip through night school, it might feel like starting over, but if she really wants her PhD it's do able. I think in this situation Fred was looking for an excuse to keep a female body.
