Ned spent the following day chasing down a rumor he had heard about a guy who could hack the swap class server. He finally found the guy who turned out to be a girl. A beautiful, intelligent, popular, senior class girl with a sterling reputation.
"Hi, I heard that you know how to "influence" swap class swaps, is that true?" Ned asked.
"If it were, why would I admit to it? A rumor like that could ruin my college admission. I'm out of here in a few weeks, no one cares what has happened because it has only happened to people who wanted it to happen. A couple of times they regretted the choice and it got fixed, no one was harmed. Why do you care?"
"My partner and I may want to stay swapped, hypothetically speaking, is that possible, with no one else knowing?"
" 'May want to' isn't a very strong commitment. You have to be absolutely sure, if the person who could do something like you asked about graduates, is 5 weeks, there would be no going back."
"You used to be a guy, right? How did the most popular girl in school let you have her body and life?"
"Repressive parents and an overbearing mother that could not accept her daughter was trans. She got swapped with a guy who dreamed of being a beautiful girl but had a similar home situation. It was a perfect swap. Once that happened, the one with the world class hacking skills made sure that no one knew they did not swap back and then helped some others who wanted to stay swapped."
"How much to do it for us?"
"No money, just make sure you are serious. I want to help if you really want to stay this way. I can make the sever show you swapped back a week from now. After that, you will have 4 weeks to decide if you want to stay that way. But, if you are some undercover cop or something, you will never be a man again, I can make that happen. So if you are real, we can work this out. if you are trapping me, get used to skirts, bras, periods and childbirth. Personally, I look forward to those things."
"I'll call you tomorrow. Thank you for trusting me, you won't be sorry."
Ned and Jenny had another swap class work session and he told her what he had found out without mentioning names.
"I think I want to be you forever, as long as we are c=together. I have never felt so much love for a person as I do for you, in my body. How about you?"
Jenny stared out the windshield for several minutes, the longest minutes in Ned's life, before wiping a tear from her cheek.
"I dreamed about it, I really did, you and I, married, with 3 children and you pregnant with another. I woke up wondering how I could convince you to give up being a guy, yes, let's do it." The young lovers kissed and Ned made the call to the girl with the world class hacking skills.
