After a few months of seclusion, Harry came out of the house to actually watch Nancy play a game in his body. She wasn't bad, but she wasn't standing out either, and he knew from all his work that scouts would be coming to games coming up to the next part of the season.
He waited for all the team to leave after the match before approaching Nancy who punched a locker before noticing he was there. The pressure of living up to Harry's sacrifice was too much for her to bear, and every time she went to kick she just choked.
"Don't do it for me, do it for us" Harry said, embracing her, and while Nancy had never seen Harry as a potential boyfriend (or even really thought about dating) she was seeing him/her in a whole new light.
wickedly funny & origginal
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet caption. I could see a longer story being based off this idea. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting as I kind of didn't plan any further. Where do you see their lives going beyond here? Or are you thinking more of the lead up?
