Where would you imagine it goes? I imagine Dan definitely makes their lives miserable for a while, until it becomes a new status quo but then that's the ideal time for things to shake up. Maybe Kelsey's dealer happens to be stopping through town?
Months later: a sad Maggie goes to the hardware store to get some more materials for Dan's new DIY project. Across the shelves she sees her former husband, and she can't take it anymore, running to him, saying "Carl! It's me! Maggie!"
To her surprise, Carl responds by telling her he's not really Carl - he's Kelsey! It turned out after all their machinations, Kelsey LOVED being a man, more than the liked screwing over Dan.
For the first time in a long time, the four decide to have dinner together, but after playing footsie at the table over entrees, Dan and Kelsey only turn their backs ever so briefly before Maggie and Carl are screwing in their new bodies.
Dan is conflicted, wanting to let the two lovebirds be together, but still feeling bitter about the whole situation. Carl pleads for Dan to let him and Maggie be together again, and Dan agrees - as long as the former Kelsey signs away her claim to anything in their divorce.
Now, Carl and Maggie are expecting their first child, Dan not sure how to feel about the kid being produced by his former sperm, and in the womb of a body he once possessed, but he figures he did punish Maggie enough.
Kelsey ended up as a male stripper, which Dan finds amusing given Carl's body's age, but he feels an appropriate end to her story. She only cared about assets and possessions, and now she's the one being treated like an object every night.
