I wonder why neither parent tried to make a scene? Is there more magic here working, forcing the swapped person to go along with whatever they're told?
The way it worked in my head was they were just too shocked by the swap, and once both of them had kissed their own daughter, they were extremely awkward. Plus Evie's probably spent most of her evening telling them not to "bother her parents". The BSC is all about the distraction game.
