On one hand it's good to know that the Stepmom and Erica aren't scumbags who disrespected an actually stated boundary(Masturbation was never a boundary either of them set so it was free game but actual sex was a line in the sand Pete drew and hence it's utterly different) he had but it's also still pretty assholeish what the stepmom said at the end of part 10 about how he has no say in the matter/can't stop her which clearly distressed Pete.
So, really the stepmom's actions only really balance out the asshole move she already pulled.
